Power Plus Hitting with Cleveland Indians Jim Rickon

Power Plus

Power Plus hitting is our hitting class designed to increase power, and exit velocity in our swings. With so much demand for power hitting, and the increased amount of home runs in the major leagues, the demand for power hitters at the high school, and college level is at an all time high.  We have designed a program to fit all of these needs. Jim Rickon who was the Cleveland Indians Hitting Coordinator during the 2015-2017 seasons will be head instructor of the class, and has written the power hitting program. Our 6 week program is designed to see immediate results in exit velocity, and the ability to drive the baseball. Those who buy in to this program will see huge changes for the better by the end of the 6 weeks.

  • Increase Exit Velocity
  • Improve Launch Angle to increase extra base hits
  • Increase Hip Strength by using resistance training, and drills to strengthen drive
  • Increase mechanics with drill work
  • Increase hard contact rate
  • Improve timing of the swing
  • Improve bat speed

This is an advanced hitting class, please make sure when registering you are willing to come to work very hard!

Power Plus Development

We will use a radar gun for both High School and Youth Development, so many new techniques have been added to develop power and will be used thru this program. With Jimmy Rickon's hitting techniques, and philosophy this class will give your athlete the gains they want.

Hard contact rate Development

With or without power, you still need to be able to hit the ball on the barrel, our increased Mechanics and extensive drill work, will improve our hard contact rate. With video tape analysis, situational hitting, and backside hitting, will all be incorporated in Power Plus.
